| PROFILE
Alyce is an energetic, passionate UX evangelist who has spent the
past decade nurturing both her own UX expertise and the UX focus
at Stryker, a Fortune 500 medical device company, where she has
worked on medical device, mobile app and business system interfaces.
Her formal education in visual design from UCLA’s Center for
Digital Arts led her into the GUI world, initially in web and video.
But as she progressed in her career, she quickly developed a border-line
obsession with the usability movement which was just emerging on
the web design scene. Through both personal research, and then formal
training in the Human Factors International’s CUA program,
Alyce quickly matured into the UX thought leader in her organization.
While delivering impactful results, Alyce used her excellent communication
skills and lead-through-influence style to affect fundamental change
in this very large, conservative organization. Today, Alyce leverages
the well-defined UCD process she implemented to consistently deliver
bottom line results for the business. These wins have contributed
to an institutionalized focus on the importance of customer experience.
In fact, Stryker’s newly developed global umbrella brand strategy
incorporates “Customer Experience” as one of its pillars!
Alyce seeks to share her passion for UX at a company which believes
that creating a memorable user/customer
experience is the cornerstone of a forward leaning strategy. She
has the background and expertise to excel as both a UX strategist
and practitioner, but believes her ability to knit the business
and user needs together at the strategic level, is where she can
bring the most value. She always strives to learn from others, and
to continue to expand the impact and value that excellent user experiences
promise! |

| WHAT OTHERS SAY
| "I had the privilege of working with
Alyce for several years. In addition to her pixel-level
attention to detail and strong intent with respect to
creating clean user interfaces, she seamlessly works and
partners with engineering staff at the inception of a
project in order to create an intuitive, usable user experience
from the ground up.
She's very willing to stand her ground and argue convincingly
to others about good UI/UX design principles, but also
willing to adapt and create new UX solutions in the
cases where engineering presents technical roadblocks
to an initial design. Alyce is a fantastic communicator
that takes time to understand software engineering challenges,
but is also very adept at translating her vision into
concepts that engineers can relate to.
I learned a lot about user-centered design and usability
and in my time working with Alyce, and I wouldn't hesitate
to recommend her for any UI/UX leadership role for which
she was being considered." |

| “Alyce is a talented and driven employee
who loves her work. She was key in bringing our company
Websites and applications into relevancy and acceptance
from our user and client communities. As her manager she
formally introduced me to the terms "usability"
and "information architecture" long before they
were considered an important part of the SDLC. As the
lone UI expert at the time, I counted on Alyce to work
closely with software engineers, marketing, and executive
management.” |

| “Alyce Green truly has an eye for
customer experience and design. She is one of the most
gifted designers I have had the pleasure to work with,
and she delivers exceptional, timely results. I have worked
with Alyce as an Enterprise Software Developer and IT
leader, and she exhibits a business acumen, a natural
leadership, and a gift for design that few possess in
such a powerful blend.
I would absolutely work with Alyce in any future engagements,
and will always appreciate her memorable contributions
to all my projects.” |

| "Alyce is one of the most reliable
people I've ever worked for. Her time management and organizational
skills are impeccable, and she has a great understanding
of how to manage a project by leveraging people's strengths
and weaknesses. She's the kind of person who is willing
to "go to bat" for the people on her team, and
she really took the time to get to know our team on a
more personal level enabling us to become tighter-knit.
Alyce's deep understanding of the user-centered design
process coupled with a passion for growing and improving
makes her the ideal candidate for any product team.
I truly valued my time working with her, and hope that
we'll have such an opportunity again in the future.” |

| "Alyce is one of those rare designers
that has a grasp of the front end design principles and
also the back end development principles. On our project,
she was instrumental in creating processes to help the
developers and front end designers be more efficient while
also producing less bugs. Her talents as a designer are
excellent, but I value her ability to solve problems and
her teamwork even more" |
